Carson Industries has completed a deal to acquire South Carolina-based J&J Forklift Services. 

In addition to purchasing J&J’s assets, the complex transaction also required legal counsel related to financing, a real estate lease agreement and a consulting agreement.

Carson Industries officials say the acquisition will strengthen their operations and customer service capabilities in upstate South Carolina. 

CEO Duane Wilson says: “I have known Mike Mallia for years and have been impressed with the business that he and his team have built. They have a focus on great customer service, rental equipment and used equipment sales. We look forward to employing additional technicians, account managers and product offerings like our commercial Dock and Door Division into this area. This will also bring several additional synergies to our other locations, including a team of industrial mobile tyre press technicians and a location to launch our new refurbished equipment program.”

Carson Material Handling has been a fleet management provider throughout North Carolina since 2004. It operates in all of North Carolina and North/Western South Carolina. 

The company is a full-service Linde and Baoli dealer and also specialises in fleet management and tracking software, operator training and equipment servicing.

Campobello, South Carolina-based J&J Forklift Services was a family-owned and -operated company, specialising in repairs and maintenance of all makes and models of materials handling equipment.
