Chinese forklift expo next month

The 7th Guangzhou International Brand Forklift & Accessory Exhibition (BFE Guangzhou) will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex on 22-24 June.
Organisers expect over 60,000 buyers will attend the expo, which will occupy about 25,000 sqm (269,098 sqft.) of exhibition space. Events taking place at the expo include the Hong Kong Warehousing Development Seminar, a forklift skills competition and the Logistics Innovation and Enterprise Competitiveness Summit.
The expo will be held concurrently with the 2nd International Logistics Equipment & Technology Exhibition.

Select launches mobile application

Select Equipment Sales Inc, which represents Nissan, Linde and Doosan Infracore forklifts in Southern California, says it is the first forklift distributor to launch an interactive mobile application on Apple's App Store.
Compatible with the Apple iPhone and iPad, the application enables customers to obtain driving directions to Select's facility, to request service appointments, view used equipment inventory for sale, manage fleet service data, view current sales specials and communicate with the company via social media, phone or email.

Oorja Protonics in Top 50

Fuel cell company Oorja Protonics Inc has received the TiE50 award at the TiEcon 2011 held in the Santa Clara Convention Centre last week.
Out of 1,619 companies screened, 50 companies were recognised for their "entrepreneurial sprit and world class calibre".
TiEcon is the world's largest conference for entrepreneurs and features dialogue, networking and deal making, with thousands of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry executives and thought leaders attending.
