Heli Forklift Group held its 10th technical staff operation competition for 244 employees from its seven subsidiaries last month.

Cooper SH wins award

Cooper Specialised Handling (Cooper SH) has won the 2010 Rail Freight Group Awards environmental innovation award.
The awards celebrate the best achievements in the rail freight sector for the year. Cooper SH won the award with the Eco Drive tool that helps fleet owners monitor driver behaviour, saving up to GBP11,000 (USD17,484) per truck in fuel costs.
Cooper SH says it has noticed an 8% improvement in the fuel consumption of a machine that uses Eco Drive. This equates to 58 tonnes of reduced carbon dioxide over a machine's lifecycle.
The annual awards were held in Oxford.

Palletforce's online challenge

Palletforce has set an online challenge to piece together a jigsaw puzzle illustrating its newly launched book.
Anyone who successfully completes the puzzle on the company's website will receive a free copy of the book, No Job Too Tall. The children's book, aimed at teaching the next generation about green issues related to the transport industry, was officially launched on 13 November during the "world's biggest bedtime story event" in Palletforce's hub in Burton-upon-Trent.
