Linde CSR recognised
Aschaffenburg, Germany

Linde Material Handling has been awarded a gold medal in the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating for the second time, in recognition of its efforts towards sustainability.
"Due to the quality of our sustainability management, we are among the leaders in our industry. This is both recognition and incentive at the same time," says Christophe Lautray, chief officer sales and service at Linde Material Handling, adding that participation in the EcoVadis rating always provides concrete indications of where the company can improve even further. "We bring this potential for improvement into line with the goals and measures of our long-term corporate strategy."
Linde has been participating in the EcoVadis CSR rating since 2012 and has been able to significantly increase its overall score year after year. This time, Linde Material Handling was certified for having achieved improvements in areas such as environmental protection and ethics. The ratings in the areas of labour law and human rights as well as sustainable procurement were confirmed.

Logistics UK and CBW launch M&A report
London, United Kingdom

Despite the business disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty surrounding the UK's future relationship with the EU, the landscape for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in logistics is set to remain strong over the next 12 months.
Logistics UK, in partnership with leading accountants, tax and business advisor Carter Backer Winter LLP (CBW), has launched an exclusive survey, conducted by Analytiqa, into the challenges facing the industry, UK Logistics Sector M&A Index 2020.
Philip Bird, partner and head of logistics at CBW, comments: "The survey shows that consolidation is expected to continue in the sector over the next 12 months, supported by healthy valuations. M&A activity is likely to be concentrated in those areas which will fare better in a challenging economic environment, such as healthcare, e-commerce and food distribution."
