Genie hosts technical summit
Grantham, United KingdomTerex Aerial Work Platforms recently hosted more than 120 customers, distributors and service providers at its second Genie Technical Summit at Disneyland, Paris.
Under the theme "Discovering the Future" the presentations and workshops provided insights into the company's latest innovations.
The event also provided an opportunity for Genie customers to provide valuable feedback.
"We are dedicated to the success of our customers' business," says Sebastian Umbreit, senior director operations and aftermarket, Terex AWP, EMEAR. "This means listening to their needs and offering solutions that both help increase return on total invested capital and reduce total cost of ownership. By means of open dialogue with our technical teams, each edition of the Genie Technical Summit is a unique opportunity to hear our customers' opinions and measure their level of satisfaction. With 30% more customers than our first Technical Summit held in The Netherlands in 2013, the result of this year's event was extremely successful."
Chevin gets Middle East interest
Fitchburg, MA, United StatesChevin Fleet Solutions is experiencing an increased level of interest in fleet software in the Middle East.
The fleet management software company reports that it has had several approaches this year from organisations in the region looking to potentially adopt its products.
Managing director Ashley Sowerby says Chevin is "starting to see interest from fleets in several Middle Eastern countries".
"Our enterprise-level fleet management software, FleetWave, is a multilingual system available in most major international languages including Arabic, so we are well prepared to implement systems there.
"These fleets want to gain a new level of efficiency in key areas such as cost control and service standards, and this is something that we are able to demonstrate they will achieve through working with us."
Sowerby says that gaining interest from new regions was partially a reflection of the effort that Chevin had undertaken in recent years in becoming a global operation.
