Paul Laroia
Industry pioneer retires
Greenville, NC, United States

NACCO Materials Handling Group vice president of aftermarket Paul Laroia has announced his retirement. He will stay with NMHG until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Laroia joined Hyster Company in 1970 and, by the age of 25, had become the youngest manager in the company, overseeing advertising and sales promotions for the Hyster European headquarters. In 1980, he transferred to the Portland, Oregon corporate office and in 1984 to the Danville, Illinois facility to manage the company's parts, service and warranty operations.
Laroia then became the director of group marketing and Latin American operations at the NMHG America's Headquarters in Greenville, North Carolina. From 2005-2009, he served as president of Hyster Company and, following a subsequent restructuring, as NMHG's vice president of aftermarket, his current position.
Colin Wilson, CEO of NMHG, comments: "In his more than 40 years with the company, Mr Laroia has been a driving force for positive change and continuous improvement, as well as a great source of insight and institutional knowledge.
"His stellar leadership and vision have helped us achieve the success we enjoy today and set the path for future innovation."

Riwal expands in Poland
Warsaw, Poland

Aerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist Riwal has moved to a new flagship depot and headquarters for its Polish operation.
Riwal Poland's Wojciech Lisicki says the move demonstrates Riwal's "ongoing quest to deliver the best customer experience".
Since establishing in 2008, Riwal Poland's team, depots and fleet have grown rapidly. To further develop the business, a purpose-built headquarters was established in Rawa Mazowiecka, which is about 80 km (50 mi.) south-west of Warsaw.
Riwal says the relocation will boost the efficiency of internal processes and that the new location is closer to many of its key customers.
Headquartered in The Netherlands, the Riwal Holding Group employs over 1,100 people and operates in 17 countries.
