Industry pioneer retires
Greenville, NC, United StatesNACCO Materials Handling Group vice president of aftermarket Paul Laroia has announced his retirement. He will stay with NMHG until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Laroia joined Hyster Company in 1970 and, by the age of 25, had become the youngest manager in the company, overseeing advertising and sales promotions for the Hyster European headquarters. In 1980, he transferred to the Portland, Oregon corporate office and in 1984 to the Danville, Illinois facility to manage the company's parts, service and warranty operations.
Laroia then became the director of group marketing and Latin American operations at the NMHG America's Headquarters in Greenville, North Carolina. From 2005-2009, he served as president of Hyster Company and, following a subsequent restructuring, as NMHG's vice president of aftermarket, his current position.

Riwal expands in Poland
Warsaw, PolandAerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist Riwal has moved to a new flagship depot and headquarters for its Polish operation.
Riwal Poland's Wojciech Lisicki says the move demonstrates Riwal's "ongoing quest to deliver the best customer experience".
Since establishing in 2008, Riwal Poland's team, depots and fleet have grown rapidly. To further develop the business, a purpose-built headquarters was established in Rawa Mazowiecka, which is about 80 km (50 mi.) south-west of Warsaw.
Riwal says the relocation will boost the efficiency of internal processes and that the new location is closer to many of its key customers.
Headquartered in The Netherlands, the Riwal Holding Group employs over 1,100 people and operates in 17 countries.
Joint venture for Marangoni in Russia
Rovereto, ItalyMarangoni and Tatneft Group will form a joint venture in Russia for retreading of all steel truck tyres. The joint venture company will be based in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan.
The joint venture will be operated through KaMaRetread LLC, with Marangoni SpA holding a 35% stake.
Marangoni will contribute its equipment, technologies and experience in tyre retreading, and will provide the necessary training, while Tatneft Group will provide a facility for the retreading, management and personnel, and local expertise.
The JV is expected to commence operations in the first half of 2015. Marangoni and Tatneft consider the JV as the first step for further co-operation.
Marangoni also retreads tyres for container handling machinery used in the industrial and port sectors.
