Boom lifts for UK market
Huntingdon, United KingdomAccess Platform Sales (APS) will bring two new Genie boom lifts to the UK for the first time. It is the first UK company to order the Genie Z-33/18 lightweight compact electric boom and Genie Z-62/40.
The Z-33 is an all-electric, lightweight self-propelled articulated boom lift with 12 m (39 ft.) maximum working height and 4.3 m (14 ft.) of "up and over" clearance. With minimal tail swing, a tight turning radius and capable of passing through standard double doors, it is ideal for working indoors or outside. Weighing 3,640 kg (8,025 lb.), it is suitable for tasks on sensitive floors such as in airports, shopping centres and theatres.
The new Z-62 articulating boom lift replaces the Genie Z-60/34. Working height has increased from 20.4 m to 20.9 m (67 to 68 ft.) and the maximum horizontal outreach extends to 12.5 m (41 ft.) compared to 11.0 m (36 ft.) on the Z-60. Up-and-over clearance remains at 7.8 m (25.6 ft.), with a maximum lift capacity of 227 kg (500 lb.). Genie launched both products at APEX 2014 in Amsterdam.
Linde Cup kicked off
Beijing ChinaThe third Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition kick-off ceremony was held at the China Post Beijing Centre on 26 June.
The competition will be held in 40 cities nationwide from June 2014 to May 2015, and includes nearly 1,000 companies and 3,000 players.
The regional finals will be held in Xiamen, Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Guangzhou, and the best players will strive for the National Finals in May 2015, with the winning team representing China in the Global Stapler Cup in Germany in September 2015.
The event is organised by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, China Industrial Truck Association and Occupational Skill Testing Centre.
AUSA dealers at MEFA
Trondheim, NorwayThree AUSA dealers worked together to hold a stand at the MEFA exhibition in Trondheim, Norway last month.
Avitec, AUSA's new dumper importer, showcased the D 150 AHG dumper that has a 1.5 T capacity and Kubota engine while Andersen Truck, AUSA's forklift and telehandler importer, dsplayed the C300 H 4x4 forklift with 3T capacity. Andersen also exhibited the T144 H Plus compact telehandler.
Meanwhile, NTM, AUSA's urban importer, displayed the B200 H iLink suction sweeper.
