Forklift association builds park
Shanghai, ChinaThe China Forklift Agency Association has signed an agreement to build a "forklift industrial park" in Wuhe County in Anhui province.
According to SinoCast Machinery & Industrial Goods Beat, the association will invest CNY1.5 billion (USD248 million) in the project. The industrial park is expected to be ready in three years.
The China Forklift Agency Association was established in Guangzhou at the end of 2011. Members include forklift dealers, parts dealers and maintenance service providers.

Expo will focus on reefer market
Shanghai, ChinaReefer containers will be a focus during the inaugural Intermodal Asia 2014 exhibition and conference on 1-3 April at the Shanghai World Expo Centre.
On the second day of the event, a container forum will be held, with a dedicated session focusing on reefer containers.
Event director Sophie Ahmed says the reefer market is in a "state of continual growth" and so it is important to focus on reefer containers at the expo.
Reefer-related exhibitors at Intermodal Asia include Shanghai CIMC Reefer Containers Co Ltd; Taicang CIMC Reefer Logistics Equipment Co Ltd; Daikin Industries Ltd; Carrier Transicold Division; Qingdao CIMC Reefer Container Manufacture Co Ltd; Emerson Climate Technologies and Qingdao Xin Sanly Reefer Container Technical Co Ltd.
Intermodal Asia 2014 is organised by Informa Exhibitions (the organiser of Intermodal Europe) in partnership with the China Container Industry Association.
KAUP supports "Youth and Technology"
Aschaffenburg, GermanyKAUP is contributing to the "Youth and Technology" project for the second time this year.
The project, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club Aschaffenburg and TÜV Kids, aims to promote technology and natural sciences to children.
Every Thursday afternoon, the forklift attachment maker will organise an afternoon activity at Aschaffenburg where fourth grade students build a range of technical exhibits, from a solar cell to a "lemon radio". The students also learn about different scientific laws and phenomena.
At the end of the course, the schoolchildren will visit the KAUP factory in Aschaffenburg.
