US-based Alliance Material Handling is celebrating its 70th anniversary of servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.

Founded in 1955 when it started producing space maker systems and Potomac Industrial Trucks, Alliance now offers a wide range of materials handling products from forklifts to warehouse automation systems.

Alliance has five offices and has continued to grow with the acquisition of Valley Industrial Trucks in 2023 and started 2025 by acquiring Langer Material Handling, marking its expansion into the Pittsburgh region.

CEO Thomas Albero says the company is very proud of its 70-year history.

"This milestone is a testament to the hard work of our employees, the trust of our customers, and the partnerships we’ve built over the years,” he adds.

Meanwhile, New Hampshire-headquartered materials handling equipment manufacturer Bode Equipment is celebrating its 50 years in business.

Founded in 1975 by husband and wife team Larry and Dorothy Bode from their family home, Bode Equipment now produces a range of materials handling equipment including hoists, cranes, lifts and pallet stacking within its product range.

The company initially focused on loading dock solutions before it was acquired in 1985 and broadened its scope to include materials handling equipment.

Bode Equipment CEO Scott Fawcett, who joined the company in 1999, says achieving the 50 year milestone would not have been possible without the company’s staff.

“It would be wrong of me to think we did this on our own,” Fawcett continues. “We [also] thank our clients who have trusted in Bode over the years. Our partnership with you has been instrumental in our long-term success.”
