Cloverdale Agriplex in Surrey, British Columbia hosted the 2015 B.C. Championship Forklift Rally which saw forklift operators from across the province compete in a show of forklift skills and safety.
The event tested drivers in four categories: counterbalance electric, reach truck, power pallet jack and counterbalance propane, with each division winner taking home a prize of $500.
Eric Symons of London Drugs won the power pallet jack contest, followed by Trevor Martin (EV Logistics) and Scott Miller (VersaCold - Cliveden).
The reach truck title went to Russ Cudmore of GFS. James Ralphs of London Drugs came second, followed by Tyler Tribe of Cold Logic.
Toyota's Rui Paiva won the counterbalance electric contest. Runner-up was Gary Siu (London Drugs) and Anthony Basic (London Drugs).
Ian DeRuiter of Columbia Bottle took the title for counterbalance propane. Second place went to Nav Mander of EV Logistics, with Bryce Parman of K-Line Trailers third.
The event was organised by the Canadian Materials Handling & Distribution Society (CMHDS), a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving the warehousing and distribution community in British Columbia, Canada.
