Assa Abloy has acquired Integrated Warehouse SolutionsAssa Abloy, a Swiss conglomorate that makes automated doors, gates and entrances, has acquired Integrated Warehouse Solutions (IWS), a U.S. manufacturer of loading dock equipment.
In a message to customers, IWS chief executive officer and president Ciaran Farrell says the IWS family of brands will become part of Assa Abloy’s 4Front Engineered Solutions.
“Assa Abloy's commitment to innovation and quality aligns seamlessly with our values at Integrated Warehouse Solutions,” Farrell says. “This strategic partnership will undoubtedly strengthen our position as an industry leader.”
Assa Abloy chief executive officer Nico Delvaux says: “This acquisition delivers on our strategy to strengthen our position in mature markets through adding complementary products.”
Assa Abloy has 35 brands, including loading dock and warehouse solutions providers Kelley and APS Resource. The company has operations in more than 70 countries, providing services from home security to biometric technology.
