Eight forklift manufacturers are among the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM)'s 39 recipients of its annual "statistics outstanding merit award".

Carelift Equipment Ltd, Gehl Company, JCB; JLG Industries Inc, Liftking Industries Inc, Mustang Manufacturing, Sellick Equipment and Terex Genie were recognised for their contributions to AEM's statistical reporting programs.

AEM's statistical reporting service assists its members in business planning by providing market trends and benchmarking data.

Companies receive "points" in categories and receive the award if they rank at least 90%. The awards aim to encourage reporting timeliness, accuracy, consistency and good corporate citizenship.

The "Dick Harris Data Integrity Award", which goes to the company that scores the most points, went to Deere & Company for the 10th consecutive year.

AEM statistics activities involve 175 North American companies reporting for over 225 product programs. Truck-mounted forklift and telescopic forklift manufacturers are members of AEM.
