Never mind to my previous question, I saw your answer about the handset, thanks
Brewski, how would you check the fault history. I have several of the same forklifts doing the same thing intermittently. As soon as it gets shut off and then back on it goes away completely for an extended period of time. The box/screen only has the hour button and the speed button?
i agree, intermittant problems are hard to diagnose, especially if they do not appear when you look at it.
What brewski suggests is one way to check, viewing the fault history would help narrow it down.
One other way IF you can get it to fault while you are testing it out is watch the drive controller LED and see if it is flashing a code.
The LED code scheme is as follows:
LED code Explanation
OFF (no flashes) No power or defective controller
ON (continuously) Controller or microprocessor fault
0,1 Controller operational, no faults
1,2 Hardware failsafe fault
1,3 M-, current sensor, or motor fault
2,1 Throttle fault
2,2 Static return to off (SRO) fault
2,3 High pedal disable (HPD) fault
3,1 Contactor driver overcurrent
3,2 Welded contactor
3,4 Missing contactor, or traction contactor did not close
4,1 Low battery voltage
4,2 Over voltage
4,3 Thermal cutback; over/undertemperature
thank you Brewski, i see about the handset
You can also use the Curtis handset 1307. This will allow you to view fault history.
Do you have diagnostic software? These problems are tough if it does not occur when you are there.
