Discussion:
Yale/hyster cranking no start 4.3 gm

Hi,

I have an yale gdp40vx with the v6 gm engine.

It's cranking but doesn't show any sign to start running
I have 2 error codes.

- 135-3 - I guess fuel/air ratio? Couldn't find a clear explanation on the internet, someone knows?

Second I have a cut wire (4 wires total - no connector anymore) to the chair. Giving the code 524245 - 4. Truck disabled.
I have a black, red, white and a green wire coming out of the forklift. Does anyone have a wiring scheme for this? Or can I bypass it untill I got new connectors/chair.
The chair has an 6-pin connector (brand-grammer).

The error code for the chair should not stop the engine to start right? Or isn't it even running when giving this code?

I hope someone can help me :-)

Thanks in advance

Sieb,

135-3 is for fuel air pressure out of range high. Will need to check connector at sensor between pins b and c. Should read five volts. Pin a is the signal back to the ECU. Voltage should vary from.5 volts to 2.5 volts at the ECU. You can back probe the connector with the switch on and read the voltage.
524245-4 is for the operator presence system out of range low. This would prevent the engine from starting. That code is due to the wires that are cut. The black wire is a static ground. The red wire is a 5 volt supply, green is sensor ground and the yellow in the schematic, your white is sensor return. The switch is mounted under the seat. You should be able to repair wires and start lift. Good Luck.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
