if you can, you should also check the encoder bearing. usually chattering on AC motor is more often related to the encoder bearing than anything else.
thanks Edward will pass that on
On trucks with A/C power control of the hydraulics, it's important to set both hydraulic pressures and amperage current limit using an a/c amp meter AND a pressure gauge. (Does this truck have a corrected [to show the clamp] data/capacity plate?, as required.)
Although I usually think that a 3 phase A/C motor in a forklift that has "chattering", especially at start-up of the motor, is more often than not the "encoder bearing", this may be as simple as adjusting the switch/sensor to match the pump ramp up with the valve's spool position.
thanks swoop tech now tells me its only when you first use it gets better as you use it and yes it has a bale clamp seems to be telling us heat problems when its not up to temp strange will let you know what we find
well the most common problems for code 42 are listed as excessive usage or stalling the pump/motor.
cooling fans not working or maybe blockage of airflow
and also insufficent amount of thermal grease between controller and heatsink panel.
you may also want to consider that if you are using any type of attachment like a rotator or bale clamp or something like this.
attachments are notorious for heating up hydraulic systems because of the heavy load they create on the system.
all of these codes could be caused by that one single problem due to heat.
just some thoughts...
