Seeking info on what needs to be modified in order to connect attachment hoses to the 4 Auxillary hydraulic lines that are secured in a fixed bracket welded to the class II carriage, pointing directly face down, the caps on the ends of the crimped on hose fitings are directly over the Class II lower bar of the carriage, not allowing for the addition of 90 degree fittings or steel lines. The Lift chains are directly behind the 4 hoses, Chain anchors just below the back side, tried to raise hoses in the brackets, still no clearance, Anyone know if Yale has a kit out for Class II applications? Any service bulletins? problem seems to exsist on class II carriage. Appreciate any input. I have contacted NAACO, but no reply yet.

Exactly what we have here John, just as you describe. I have contacted the local Yale Dealer and requested a tube kit part number, they are looking into it for me. Definitley is a tight fit in that area, probably not their best design. Thanks for your input on this issue.

yeah keith they adopted this design a few years ago.
its not pretty but it works and is hard to get hoses on and off when dealing with attachments or replacing the hoses in the mast. The ones i remember came down with the chains directly in front of them and terminated on a T bracket with a small u shaped strap holding them onto the T bracket. the hose ends pointing straight down and the strap holding the hoses across the hose fittings, 2 10mm bolts and nuts on either side held the strap in place across the hose fittings. There was a U tube kit used to connect the attachment lines which connected to the hoses pointing down and made a turn over to the side and back up, they were right against the bottom crossbeam of the carriage, it was a tight fit. Kind of a hoaky design but it worked for what it was i guess.

That's interesting, the hose bracket on this one is an upside down "T" welded to the bottom side of the top bar. The four auxillary hoses are secured on the backside of the bracket just in front of the chains. I got a reply from NACCO Engineering this morning, two options, purchase their aux piping kit to rout the header hoses to the top of the carriage, or Remove and shorten the existing bracket (which is the correct bracket per their print) and then take up slack in the header hoses. Not very convenient! Going to check into this puiping kit, since we have no room for a 90 degree fitting, theres certainly no room for a pipe end to be connected without making modifications to the bracket.
I was looking at one of these today and it had the hose bracket mounted to the 2 holes right under where the chain anchor mounts. The bracket is a U shaped and the long mast hoses come down along side the chain and loop under the U shaped bracket from the rear and head up on the front side. They stop about 2-3" above the lower fork bar and are pointed up. They are about a inch behind the fork bar and 2-3 inches above it, very easy to access.
It appears we have an incorrect bracket. A normal functional design would not have allowed for the hoses to be in the location they are. We are going to contact NACCO and see if we can get some bracket dimensions. When we fiqure this all out, I will repost and let everyone know what the cause was,

very possible they may have welded a bracket for a class3 "20inch" carriage on there. there is never alot of room to play with. the hoses should be bolted onto the rearside of the bracket closest to the chain..
Thanks Kevin for that info, problem we have is the 4 lines are mounted right over the bottom bar of the carriage, the hose's have to be removed from the hose bracket clamps just to get the caps off the end of the crinped on fittings. If the hose bracket were shorter along with the hoses a couple inches it would be o.k. the way it is now, there is no way to cnnect anything but the caps onto the lines. I may have to shorten the bracket and reeve some length back through the mast to shorten the lines, I am beginning to believe now maybe an incorrect hose bracket was welded into the Class II carriage,
you can get steel pipework that connects to the hoses and then terminates on the back of the upper bar making it a lot easier to connect any attachment s you have
