wont start v6 gm non tier 2

i have the repair manual and have gone thru the step by step diagnostic procedure. it will not fire the coil. have replace the started because it was slowing down, the ignition module was bad so i replaced it along w the coil. i can unplug the 4 wire side of the gm ignition module and the coil will fire. yet the computer throw no codes to read. i found some broken wiring in the wiring harness and replaced it w still no avail. and have replace the small 2 pin harness from the coil to the ignition module also. your help is greatly appreciated. cmp450l 0132 9589 is the rest of the numbers. sorry for the wrong info it is a tier 2 emissions, it does have a trim valve

Are you sure its a spark issue, those units require a certain RPM before the SECM will turn on the coil. Maybe send me a post to the email in my profile.

i put on a new one and it did have some slight resistance to it. its like ive lost ground to the coil thru the ecm some place. i looked for a timer that could have caused this but cant find it (restart timer to keep from breaking the nose off of the starter) my email is [email address removed] thank you tom

jack of all trades but master of none
That Model does not have ignition codes. Try checking the pick up coil inside the Distributor. Usually a small plug attaches it to the ignition module, unplug and check with a DVOM you should have some resistance. Include here an email address and i will send some generic ignition tests.

When clocks move back in autumn, heart attacks drop by about 21%, suggesting that loss of sleep is an important driver.
