Discussion:
won't lower all the way down

I have this unit which will not lower forks all the way to ground. stops about 6 inches from the ground. No obstructions, did notice as I'm lowering the right cylinder keeps going down but the left cylinder stops and doesn't go down while the right keeps lowering. Thinking I might have to bleed the left cylinder?

yes cushion is broken or unscrewed. It may have damaged the tube if gone too far. Very common in 7400`s too!
You would have to replace both cushions as the good one will take all the pressure

Sounds like the cushion assembly on the bottom of the cylinder has come apart. I would pull the rod and look at it.

if you have one cylinder stopping and the other keeps lowering i would check the mast real good and make sure the channels are straight, check inside the tracks and make sure there is nothing caught hanging up a roller.

you say one cylinder keeps lowering and the other stays... what happens when you keep holding the lower lever? does the other cylinder eventually start going down? These cylinders are tied together and share the same hydraulic supply source so fluid is balanced between the two to apply equal force between the two for even raising and lowering.
If you do not find anything irregular in the channel and roller area then you may have an issue inside the hanging up cylinder causing it to bind.

Every year for Thanksgiving, the President of the United States is given a live domestic turkey by the National Turkey Federation (NTF). While these turkeys used to be slaughtered and eaten, during the presidency of George H. W. Bush it became standard practice for the president to issue a ceremonial "pardon" to the turkey.
