the machines at Patrick would of been Kalmar as well, Patrick had a fleet of KLMV 35 RoRo machines back then. Every now and then we are contacted for parts for these older Kalmar machines.
i will see if i can find some pictures of the 80 / 90 tonne machines.
Cheers

Hi finn
Kalmar in the late 80's earlier 90's made a number of 80 and 90 tonne machines at 2400 mm load centers. if you have a look on the internet you should be able to find some further information.

thanks for the reply.

i have also seen the type being transported (but never on rail) using 3 trucks and trailers instead.
one for the mast
one for the top pick
and one for the machine off course
having worked on rail i,m surprized it was not over width or maybe they took the outer wheels off prior to transport.

we just sold one that is rated at 130,000lbs about (65 tons) @ 72 inch (about 2 meters) lift center and weighs close to 100 tons. came in on 3 rail cars and was assembled on site with 2 cranes and 3 technicians for 2 days. i know there are bigger ones but i have not seen them.
