My experience has been that you will still need a few various adapter cables, and the zapi main cable , which costs the same (from zapi) as the handset that does not also require a laptop.
The only advantage to using the laptop is the ability to save more than 1 setup for cloning setups across truck fleets, where the handset saves only the last setup that was saved to the handset.
There are some NACCO products I am aware of (VNA) that use a zapi wire guidance system that can not use the software, and require the handset.

most trucks need an adapter cable to work with the zapi handset or laptop and zapi cable.

You can get the Zapi PC Console software or as they call it: Zapi WIN Console V-1.06 and WIN Flasher V-1.15
Yale and Hyster dealers do sell this OTC in the states. The only information I can give u is Yale part #524154242 for the Zapi PC cable kit & Yale part #524154481 is the handset kit. Hyster dealers can cross these numbers to their part numbers as well.

I think you can get a software win zapi or something which can be used through a PC ive heard people use them in the past, but the handsets are the easy to use and less hassle i guess.

Thats what I use the various zapi handsets.

i dont think any is avaliable ive worked on hysters with zapi controllers for over 20 years and allways used the handset i know hyster software does not work most zapi controllers the only truck it does work with is the J1.80XMT range
