I'm looking for a new 16,000 to 18,000 lb. capacity "LP" forklift. This lift will run 16 hours a day, 6 days a week. I use a Linde H80D, 17,500 capacity lift now. This lift does a good job but it's dieseal. Linde doesent make a "LP" lift of this size. I've got a Taylor and a Hyster "LP" but their to slow and don't have the guts that the Linde does.

No question, hands down, Linde is the best lift on the market today.
You might want to check out the new TX160 and TX175 coming out from Taylor. This 92" wheelbase truck is going to be something. The LP option in that truck is 82 horsepower. The TX180 is 101" wheelbase and the LP option in that truck is 132 horsepower. Give Barry Black a call at 662-779-5429 if you have any questions.

depending on the size of your facility
and the tier 3 emissions
this may be clean enough to work indoors

other than that you may have to settle for the less powerful machines of a lesser make :(
i used to be a linde dealer tech (also mitsu/cat) but i left that place and i started my own shop
i still work on tons of lindes (tonnes for kev lol)
most manufacturers use the 4.3 now for larger LPG trucks
its a decent engine but wont match up to a diesel
justinm, sound like you know Linde's. I've got to have a 16,000 to 18.000 LB.,small frame, "HEAVY DUTY", powerful, fast, maintenance free, good vision fork lift. Linde is the only machine that I've seen that has this. But don't forget, LP. The chev 350 LP just can't match the Deutz diesel engine. I've got a Hyster 155 with the chev engine and a Taylor THD160 with the chev engine. Trust me everybody the Hyster or the Linde are no match for the Linde. I do understand that a diesel engine is much better than a gas engine. This machine runs inside, it's got to be LP.

i see that LPG option in the spec sheets
it is more powerful 155hp and the diesel cummings has a torque of 450 or so id imagine the LPG version is less
but theyre diff sized machines
the linde H80 has a much tighter turning radius and is a smaller truck
the Hyster is one of the big machines the comparable linde would be the 359
this H80 is a 396
if size isnt an issue then the hyster may be good
i will say this for certain
Linde is the best machine ive ever worked on
once you know them they arent that hard to fix
once someone buys one its hard to sell them something else

If you're looking for a cushion tire LP forklift in that capacity range, Hoist Liftruck has the Titan Series that could work for you. Manufacturing is out of its Chicago headquarters.

justin mate.i was meaning your h170xm (h80xm europe ) 155 hp cummins 6ltr lpg option.
o and dont forget lower ratings moving the same loads will consume more fuel so that may offset things too
any operator that hated a linde's controls changed their tune after a week or so
it takes a lil getting used to but its the better system
most comment on how safe the linde feels
aside from that unfortunately LPG isnt an option for these as a diesel will be more efficient (hence little demand) and the new engines are tier 3 and very clean (they claim better than tier 3 performance as stated earlier)
i dont think many LP trucks of this size are gonna be able to go toe to toe with a linde diesel
for example
available in america that hyster kev mentions above is probably the H155
the next step up is only diesel (H170)
in LP the Hyster will come with a GM 4.3 liter Vortech
its rated for 103 HP @ 2400 rpm and torque is 225 ft/lbs @ 2400 rpm
the H80 Linde is rated for 116 HP @ 2200 rpm and 346 ft/lbs of torque @ 1600 rpm
thus making the lindes feel way more powerful (cause they are lol)
even the optional cummings 4.6L in the hyster is only rated at
78 HP @ 2050 rpm and 225 ft/lbs of torque @ 1300 rpm
still the linde looks better as far as power
i assume the need for LP is for easier fuel storage?
if that isnt an issue id go right back to the Linde
you can get 8 ton lpg hyster straight off the shelf. great machine. excellent cab and a lot stronger upright than a linde h80d.you can also get oil imerrsed brakes. some operators i know hate hydrostatic drive , they like to coast a little
