Hello
I have a 1996 Hyster H2.00XMS with a serial no: D001B04452T.
It starts first time but after a minute it cuts out.
The unit fed by the gas bottle freezes and I'm losing water from I don't know where.
Finally, after refilling and running for the minute the pressure when releasing the rad cap is immense.
Any solutions will be greatly received
Thanks
Kevin

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look into that on Monday.

Sounds like the head gasket has failed at a water port. This would put the pressure into the cooling system. Also, while running the engine, the cap will lift and let coolant flow out of the overflow hose. If you do not have a recovery bottle, the hose could be allowing coolant to leak on the ground. Thanks.

Thanks for al the info, I will go through your list but I do know the oil has no water in it.
FYI
The coolant pressure issue was caused after less than a minute of the engine running and not long enough for the thermostat to open ???

if your vaporizer/converter is freezing up that is caused by lack of coolant in the system. The coolant helps keep the LP gas warm enough to prevent the freezing.
As for the engine cutting out, the freezing converter will cause that.
As for the coolant leaking and no external sign of the leaking?
Check the exhaust for any sign of excess moisture, steam or water coming out.
Check the engine oil, color should be normal golden color or darker if it has many hours on it, if the color has a milky or almond color you may have a head gasket issue allowing the coolant into the engine oil.
As for the pressure in the radiator? if the engine is hot there will be pressure there even if the coolant is low.
One way to check the cooling system for leaks is to use a cooling system pressure tester. Make sure the system has coolant in it, install the pressure tester on the radiator and pump it up to the recommended pressure for that system and then check for leaks.
