Kevin,
I do not have any manuals on these old Cats. I just repaired a V50B with a Century LP regulator. I was able to get an overhaul kit for the regulator Century number 286-1554. As far as the wiring is concerned this particular truck powered the LP lock-off straight from the Key. The start assist was wired to a push button on the dash. Hope this helps

I don't have a schematic of this truck in electronic format, but it is rather a simple bit of circuitry.
What is the problem you are having?
Without any further information, I am going to guess you have a battery that dies intermittently, and yet you are sure the battery, cables and alt are all good and test good on the bench.
Your problem is in the plug connector at the alt, and is a broken wire internal to the insulation, replace the plug and about 3 inches of the wires.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
