Linde (& Baker) H25T:
Unidentified error with Linde H25T

Hello everyone,

We are using a second hand Linde forklift in our warehouse.

We recently had to send it for repairs after 2 of the mast bolts broke. It came back last week from the workshop and now gives me an error after about 20 seconds every time I turn it on.

I displays a light right next to the battery sign on the panel and emits a regular beep sound.
The sign is red, it looks like a bowl with a drop of water in the middle and 2 arrows on each side pointing towards the bowl.
You can see a photo on my profile pic.

Unfortunately, I do not have the manual for this machine, do you have any idea what the problem is?
If anyone know where I can find this manual, I would appreciated a link or a hint!

Thanks
William

Showing items 1 - 10 of 10 results.
It's not so difficult, when you have the proper tools.

First - be sure your oil filter is OK.

For VW BEF engine, the oil pressure switch is in the oil filter bracket, on the top of the engine oil filter. It looks like the nut with long grey electric pin. It is a VW part (Part No VW038919081M)
It may be checked, but you need a tester for it.
The switch should'nt cost more than 10 USD.
The engine oil pump No is VW06A115105B.
Shouldn't cost more than 100-130 USD.
If you have no experience, bring the technician, who has some skills with engines.
Believe me, you will not spent a fortune ;-)

Hi there!

Thanks for your replies. I added my email address to my profile (the secondary address becaue the first one was already filled). I can't seem to see it appearing on my profile, is there something else required?

How can I check the pressure switch or oil pump?

I have no mechanical background at all, I just want to understand how serious/bad it is before I send it out for repairs...

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Karait,

You are right it is an oil pressure problem on the engine.
Think my eyes are painted on this morning.

This particular warning lamp applies to engine oil pressure/level.

William - how about the oil pump and the oil pressure switch?

Hi William,
I suspect you have a blocked hydraulic oil micro filter.
The hydraulic filters should be changed at least every 3000 hours and as a matter of course we change the hydraulic oil also.

Please add your email into your profile and I will send you some info from the operators manual.

Hi there!

I followed your advices and checked the oil, the level is good, the forklift hasn't been serviced recently (so no change of oil). The problem can't be incorrect oil or low oil level. Also, since the sign comes on after about 15-20 seconds after I start the engine, I doubt the temperature is the problem here.

What else could it be?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I think it is a VW engine. What type of oil must I use for this engine?

Thanks

Hello William
According to your description, your truck is 392 series with the VW BEF engine.
When engine lubricating oil pressure is too
low, this indicator lights up, and a buzzer
sounds.
If in addition the text field shows
the text "Oil" with a double arrow pointing
downwards, the engine oil level is too low.
The possible problems:
- Insufficient oil in the crankcase
- Engine too hot
- Incorrect oil used
- Internal leakage in the lubricating oil circuit
- Top up with motor oil.

Check all the issues. Should be simple.
