Discussion:
tyre covers

Hi, my name is dave from coverall LTD we have recently been awarded a patent in america and a design registration in UK and the EU for a wheel cover which is universal with just 3 sizes fiting all tyres. the reason for this post is that i was wondering wheather there is a market for our product in the EU. We are currently the leading manufacturer and suplier in the UK with customers all across the country. At the moment we are in talks with the worlds largest parts suplier to distribute our product in the EU mainland, I don't think I need to say any names. I would apreciate any help in the matter and any extra advice that anyone can offer.

Thanks Dave

Hi, Thanks for your replies to my post. These covers do have the same affect as non marking tyres exept they only last for around 1 month and as a result are a lot cheaper. We sell our covers in the UK starting at £50 per set of 4 increasing to £70 for the largest size. Your right these are mainly for the rental industry and actualy a company in the US has been very successfull seling their covers. But they are restricted to making covers to fit each diferent size wheel. The name of the company is R+R surface protectors inc you might want to check out their website it has a lot of pictures and info about this certainproduct.
I look foreward to geting more replies.

Thanks Dave

Would these covers work to the same, or better, effect as traditional non-marking tires? If so how much would they cost per set? Thanks!

LOL, I think hubcaps would look nice but wouldn't be very practicle. What these covers actualy do is wrap around the tire surface which comes into contact whith the floor. Stopping any ruber deposits from the tire geting left on the floor. I hope this clears up the confusion.

Thanks Dave
