Hyster H90FT:
Trying to identify a US equivalent of H90C Hyster Forklift.

Hello everyone,

My name is Daniel, I'm trying to help my Danish uncle find a distributor to fix his Hyster forklift. The data tag on the truck says the model is H90C (Serial number: C5E 2556P) but I can't find that model anywhere online, All I see is H80C or H90FT, H90XM, H90XMS. Are these models the US equivalent to the H90C (Danish) I visited a Hyster dealership but the desk man said he wasn't able to look it up. I read on this forum from "Swoop" that the Hyster online database only goes back to 2000 and I believe my uncles truck is from 1993. I am specifically looking for a distributor for this model. Any reply with any advice or leads would help, I'm doing my best to learn about these old trucks to get to the bottom of this problem.

Thanks and have a great day.

Daniel,

If the parts are new you should be good. If they are used, be careful. These can be worn out or do not work at all. Good Luck.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
Hi Fishmech, thanks for the reply. I got my uncle to send a picture of the engine tag. It is a Continental Motor, Model and Spec: F227 8015, Serial Number: E13934. So I can just find a distributor that is compatible with the F227 engine and it should work plug and play? Is there anything else I should know or keep an eye out for before purchasing? These parts are around $300. Thanks for the help!

Daniel,

The H80C would be the same model as the 90 except the counterweight would be a little heavier. Since this lift was sold overseas, hard to say what engine has been installed. Best to get a picture with model and serial number of the engine. Maybe if there is still a metal tag attached to the distributor. Good Luck.
