Discussion:
Truck dies when turning left

I have a 1991 Crown 30SCTT serial #1A109977 with EV100 that will die when it makes a left turn under load, it seems to happen at the same moment that the inside motor contactor kicks out. This is an intermittant problem and shutting the key switch off and turning it back on will reset it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

most likely steer limit switches, located underneath, either side of steer wheels. if the switches "bounce" or activate out of sequence will cause this. Having to turn key off indicates the scr has "tripped"

Check Both sets of the Forward/Reverse contactor tips and Drive motor brushes. Also make sure all power cables in the drive motor power circuit are OK.
