Hyster S25A:
Trouble with my transmission heeeeeeelp!

Hi guys. well I'm in a pickle, I'm working on a Hyster specsaver s25/S25A I put in a cluch, pressure plate and trow brg. Cluch was shot,now that it's done, I can get reverse to go but when I put it into drive it stalls out. Can any one tell me what I did wrong. What should I be looking for. What should I try. If it will help mabe I can record what it does on my phone. Please Help Guys!

I know this forum is old but i was wondering what you guys found to be the issue, i just got a 69 s25a up and running and after going through the monotrol valve completely i only have reverse even if i reverse the lines on the bottom of the monotrol. any help would be appreciated

Already tried that. I originally thought it was the brakes, because it would go in reverse but not forward. SO I pulled brakes apart. Axle shafts come out when disassembling. BUT no luck.

Could also be the brakes. You could take one axle out & see if the symptoms change

Yes. took a look, I can see the fork move back and forth. IT seems to be moving in to gear right. I can see the ware pattern on them,and from what I see. looks right. But I do agree with you. Seems to me like two gears binding.

Did you remove the top cover of the trans?

Where are the forks for gear selection in the trans- in the top cover? I'm thinking maybe the forks didn't get back in their proper position- sounds like 2 gears are engaged at once. It's been awhile since I put a clutch in one of these.
