Toyota Europe Traigo

I see on Toyota forklift Europe models with the word Traigo on the side

Yet in USA I don't see any mention of Traigo.

Is Toyota electric forklift made in Europe basically same unit as Toyota electric forklift made in USA? Is the only difference axle/tyre configuration (pneu in EU and cushion in USA?)

This is helpful, thank you
We don't see this in the USA so I always wondered.
Do you suppose the control systems/guts of the forklifts are the same between USA and EU? I can't imagine they'd be different but just curious.

Traigo is just the name of the electric counter balance family of trucks.

Much like Tonero is the family name of the IC counter balances.

Its easier for a customer to say for example 2.5 ton Traigo 80 then 8FBMKT25 ( which is the model id code for the compact 2.5 ton 80 volt version in Europe )

yes, I know all that. the point of the post was not a discussion on tires

Curious still what Traigo means, it's on every Toyota forklift image on the Toyota Europe website

I'm used to see 6 series, 7 series, 8 series models. Is Traigo just some marketing lingo?

Hi Chuck_s,
Not sure about the word Traigo, but the tires in Europe are usually not pneu, but so-called solid resilients and not the solid press-on's (or cushion) tires typical for the US. The solid resilients are the standard in Europe. Generally the tire sizes are the same as pneu's but they are solid rubber. No metal ring as with cushions, rather the tire is pressed onto the same rim as a pneu. The comfort is generally better than cushion, primarily because there is more rubber to absorb bumps, and the tread often has deeper voids. This helps traction and adds appeal to the looks of the truck.
