I know this post is old but I wanted to share my experience with this code so future occurrences of this situation would be understood and hopefully help someone, since nobody from Toyota would chime in, the only information that I had was from a past code a few years back on a 12-5 code, but I knew they were probably related ,which stated a Turbo Variable nozzle motor or nozzle was stuck open, the variable nozzles are fins of a turbo that open and close ,best I can understand, to make a long story short ,after hours of doing wire harness checks and connector checks, I assumed the best way to free up a stuck vane would be to put it to work,so I started it and held the pedal to the floor for a few minutes the code cleared and never came up again ,saved a bunch of money there

If it was easy, everybody would do it.
Did you ever find a solution to this error?
