Toyota 7FBR18 steering problem

Hi, Everyone,
I am having a problem with a Toyota 7FBR18 Serial number 7FBR18-10233. I have changed the encoder located at the wheel and I do know if it is need to be calibrated, there is also, a black rounded device it looks like a sensor(not sure). the problem is that at the time I want to turn to the right the speed is going down and it start "jumping" and a TCR alarm is showed on the dispaly. I have been trying to calibrate it but I got a different alarm code 71-R.
Can somebody help me to find out the root cause of this problem?

Thank you - Luis

I am having a similar problem on a f7beu15 i changed the steering rack it was leaking and can't seem to get the darn thing calibrated with the centering switch. There is only a slot at the top and I turned the wheel all the way put back the switch and if I turn all the way the other direction at about 85% there both motors turn on and it wants to go straight? Anybody know something could help a fella out?

Make sure the chain is set correctly, also the feedback encoder is set correctly. It might also pay you to ensure that there are no mechenical bind ups, such as load wheels moving on the hub or the drive tyre moving on the hub. These will cause similar problems to what you have described.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
