Toyota 6FB14 steering

I've run into a problem with a Toyota 6FB14 ser 14602 that has a power steering motor problem. The original motor armature was burnt so I had it rewound. The motor lasted a couple of days and burnt up again. Looking at the remains of the last armature, the solder was all thrown and the insulating material between the windings and the core were all melted which indicates really high temperatures.

Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of the problem?

Thanks for the reply.

The motor rewinders just called me and they have the motor running and want to go with me to install it and check for current draw before they rewind it. The armature is burned evenly all the way around it, not like two commutator bars and the related windings so at least the motor wasn't stalling out. But I guess under load, it heated up pretty badly but kept on running. The only reason it stopped running was that the winding insulators melted and coated the armature enough that it seized it to the magnetic bars on the case.

How am I going to check the hydraulic system if the amp draw is too high? Assuming that the relief valve pressure is correctly adjusted, what else could there be?

I guess the first thing I would see if the steer motor is staying on , I have a couple of customers because of noisy environment, they couldn't hear it and the motor would run continuously. Check amp draw, possibly hydraulic system is putting to much of a draw on motor
