Discussion:
Tico/Cascade

It has been rather quiet since the big takeover of cascade by tico. Wondering if business is still continuing to go strong.

I can say I've been treated well since the takeover, but more importantly the price has remained fair. The takeover could have gone a whole lot worse for the industry, in my opinion. The TVH line is helping, and we fully support them first every time but too many times it seems like we are forced to quote and or buy cascade because of lead-time ,cost, etc. The fact is TVH isn't there yet, but they will be, question is how long will it take?

Heck Stam, I dont think i've ever heard anyone ask for "lost load center, VCG, HCG...LOL
But I can tell you that prices did not go way up to "Toyota" standards, yet.
Still got entire side shift from cascade for cheaper then side shift cylinder alone, from lift truck maker.

I was wondering that same thing. A lot of interesting things have happened concerning attachments in the past few years. I thought with the purchase of Cascade by Toyota would push non-Toyota dealers to other vendors. Especially with the TVH's purchase of CAM Attachments and their strong sales distribution.

It wouldn't make sense for Cascade to show favoritism toward only Toyota dealers though. Even with Toyota's massive market share I wouldn't think it would be sustainable.
