Discussion:
Throttle body

Actually it's an H120XM. I have replaced my third throttle body on these trucks to date. They are not directly activated by the throttle pedal, the pedal moves the stop and a spring is supposed to open the butterfly. But on the bad ones it hangs up and won't move. Does anyone know of a rebuilder or repair kit for these? They cost over $500 apiece.

*update*

Checked with the shop guru, and they no longer soak these things.
They pull the throttle shaft and clean the bore reaaly well.
Then, they assemble unit using atf as a lube.

They've found that dirt gets sucked in past the shaft seal and that's what siezes these.

We've created our own little exchange program for these.
The stuck one comes back and gets soaked/cleaned up and the clean one goes back.
