Ok, we have a winner! We borrowed another mother board from a known going electric forklift & plugged it in to our crook fork and put it through its paces... We had it smoking up in the workshop!!!! I noticed that a couple of diodes were touching each other on the crook mother board so the boss separated them & plugged it in the crook forklift & it worked!!! We suspect that a mouse has gotten into the fork & tried to climb up the circuit board & diodes causing a short!!! So check your boards out properly folks!!
I have recently started a new job where the boss has a forklift with the same issues, I am interested on what the outcome was. Cheers Bullfrog
Can anyone tell me why this unit eats TDM transistors?
Rad, diodes, cap and connections check ok. Snubber board checks ok. Will run for about 30 min. then short out one of the TDM transistors. Anyone have any clues as to what would do this?
Thanks,
Pete N.
