Drexel SLF40:
forward or reverse contactors wont pull in

drexel model SL 44/3
SN 905515-047

The orignal complaint is wont move forward or reverse. The first two times I went to look at it it worked ok.The third time it wouldnt go forward or reverse. It wont pull in contactor for forward or reverse. It is a ev100 system,a early system where I cant plug in my code reader it has a IC3645ev control card.I have checked out all inputs and we are getting voltage to tb 4 tb3 tb2 and throttle input on tb1.It has voltage to tb5 and tb6 for forward and reverse.
I checked the voltage at dir contactors and have voltage to and thru contactors (36 volts)
It seems that the control card is not completeing the circut thru the contactor coils.I replaced the card and the coil driver still no joy.
I checked voltage at t2 on 1 rec and its.2
any Ideas?
Thanks Gregg

Thanks for the tip
I found the problem.Someone had installed a backup alarm with a strap to the mount for a ground(like on a 12 v automotive system) and the battery shorted to the case causing positive voltage to be sent to the fwd and rev terminals of the control card.

this may sound silly but check your handbrake switch
if it is malfunctioning the truck will not run, the system will turn on but the dirctional contactors will not pull in when accelerator is pressed.
