Discussion:
4 or 5 gas analyzer

Hello, we have a few customers requesting emission test on their propane lift trucks. Can anyone recommend a good quality unit or have a used one to purchase. I need a print out to show the customer the emission levels. Thanks

We just purchased a 5 gas analyzer from OTC Tools- Solarity Model 3855. Seems like a good unit. Cost around $4500.00 CND
Will be testing it shortly.

We have the snap-on hand-held analyzer...it works great, nice carrying case, comes with a little printer that you can print off the results right on spot...but yeah its very expensive..costed just over $5000

Yes i agree they are expensive. Two things.....You need to spend money to make money( wisely)and if you don't have the right tools you can't do the right repair.I will check into the Blanke Industries. Thanks

If you just want to check CO, Blanke Industries has a nice unit with a printer for forklift testing. Thats what we use because most of our calls are for high CO levels.

we occaisionally take them to an automotive state inspection station and have a print out done there. at the customers expense of course. if your state has emmision testing as part of the inspection process it's a viable alternative and a **** of a lot cheaper for you as well as the added bonus of getting a government print out
