Discussion:
Best manufacturer for service in UK

I'm looking for some feedback on the best dealer for service support in UK, we have multiple sites around the UK & I'm a bit tired of our current incumbents ability to do a couple of things.
1. Actually turn up.
2. First time fix with correct parts.

We use 3 different suppliers currently, and one of them is atrocious, I don't want to mention them at this stage, as I want to understand from the inside the industry, who is the better of the necessary evils so to speak.
We are predominantly picking truck, reach truck and CB users mostly electric with the odd gas thrown in here and there up to 4 tonne.
With a new fleet tender up next year, service is key.
Cheers Burt.

Hello Burt,

It's great that you're seeking insights to make informed decisions about service support for your fleet across the UK. Your concerns about timely response and accurate first-time fixes are absolutely valid, especially given the variety of equipment you're dealing with. While you've wisely chosen not to name the subpar supplier, I'd recommend exploring feedback from fellow industry professionals. Companies Have been consistently commended for their reliability, expertise, and efficiency in servicing electric and gas-powered trucks, reach trucks, and CB units. Their track records and customer reviews might offer valuable guidance as you gear up for a new fleet tender next year. Remember, service is indeed a cornerstone of any successful operation, and I'm confident your quest for an exemplary service provider will lead to a well-supported and smoothly running fleet. Best of luck!

Good luck trying to find one. I worked for a small family firm, the boss got ill and sold out to a nationwide company...... so i started on my own. Also west yorkshire based, probably the same company :)

The problem with this job is you cannot get people that want to do it. Ive done it since leaving school so dont know anything else. I got replaced at my last job by someone who had worked at halfords because its all they could get for the money they paid :) :) :)
