Discussion:
Uk government capital allowance is this the end for independent's

Is this the end of the independent with no dealership?
The Uk government capital allowance ,
From April 2023 until the end of March 2026, companies can claim 100% capital allowances on qualifying plant and machinery investments.
Full expensing allows companies to write off the cost of investment in one go.

So most companies will buy new forklifts & plant for free on their profits,
With buying new forklifts comes manufacturing warranty and this only allows the dealerships to maintain and repair the trucks or they say it void's warranty,
Am I correct or missing something ?

The techs i have seen hired here in the last year or so I dont think so. alot of your forklift mfgrs do everything they can to not warranty anything they can. It is always operator error abuse so n and so forth. Unless they do an extended warranty the independents will be around. Ride out the storm if you can. Plant and warehouse manangers will know what is going on and will want results instead of excuses.
