Discussion:
20MT no lift power

We just got a 20MT here on trade in. Lift speed is normal when unloaded but will not lift any weight. My first thought seal bypass, but can't see anything returning from the cylinder tops to the tank. TIA

Pump max pressure is 300psi. I wonder if there is a kit available for the pump?

Looks like low pressure from the pump or bypass valve. It lifts about 200lbs max then it sounds like the pump goes into bypass. I assume the bypass valve is internal?

Your going way back in time with a 20MT.
Always easy first check the battery voltage drop, those are not like the newer lifts that cut off with a bad battery.

If I remember right you should have 4 batteries 2 for the lift and 2 for the travel.

EDIT if the travel 2 batteries are good then it would travel fine even when your trying to lift a heavy load if the 2 lift batteries have a big volt drop under load then it would make it struggle lifting a load.

Install a gauge in the main lift line to the lift cylinder and check the pressure that will tell if the pump has a problem.
