Discussion:
GM Vortec 2400 Popping in inlet

Good Evening,

I have a GM Vortec 2400 engine that is popping in the inlet manifold when starting, the other day it damaged the bendix on the starter, today it has done the same on the new starter.

The truck has always popped occasionally when starting but now it does it more often than not.

Are these trucks prone to inlet valve leakage?

Thanks

it is possible a timing issue , or a leak inlet valve , or to much lp gas.
