make a quick connection between pin 3 and 4 on pump and drive motor, this gives a good indication of the main-harness-status.

connect the 2 wire of pump brush indicator on conector on pumpmotor together, it is normally closed and now open wire i think.

i had the same problem recently, if i connected the brush wiring with connectors connected (if not connected fan will start) left truck for 10 minutes, problem was gone.

If the problem remains probaly the wiring from front to controller is broken, hard to believe that the controller is broken, sometimes the pins on controller and connector don't make the best contact, resulting in the same error.

Its worth double checking this, sometimes pinching the connector pins in the connector helps getting a better connection, regarding the age of the truck.. if not, good luck with the controller repair!

Thanks Speedfreak , very well explained, all checked , brushes of pump and drive motor ok ,resistance between pin 3 and 4 0ohm, wire from conector to controller ok.

So i think that problem is in the controller , i´ll send it to repair.

The 4 brushes of pump and drive motor are connected in serie.

Check the connector x13 on drive motor, pin 3 and 4 should be 0 ohm
Check the connector x15 on pump motor, pin 3 and 4 should be 0 ohm, measured on the motor side.

Or, make a quick connection between pin 3 and 4 on pump and drive motor, this gives a good indication of the main-harness-status.

When 204 appears for more then 8 hours a different fault code appears resulting is reducing current to the motor.
When this happens; replace brushes (or make sure that they are in series, pins 3 and 4..., swith on truck and leave it for 10 minutes, the fault code will disappear).

(it will only generate fault code 204 when the wiring of the brushes is interrupted, the contacts on the brushes are N/C)
