Komatsu FG25T-12:
Hard to steer

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum so bare with me. I have a Komatsu FG25ST-12 that is hard to steer. You could steer it at idle with ease but when you start driving it would become harder to steer. The forks raise with ease so no problem with the pump. I changed the orbital valve out but the problem stayed the same. I also rebuilt the steer cylinder in case of bypassing. Also a couple of weeks before, the hose from the pump to the manifold blew and I replaced it. The customer said it was having some intermittent issues steering before the hose blew. It had gotten increasingly worse since. I have gotten advise from more experienced techs on this issue and no one has seen anything like it. Anyone have any advise? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Me too, it doesn't take much to have the flow divider/priority valve spool to stick.

I think Jeff is correct, it sounds like a priority valve problem.

Sounds like a sticking flow divider in the hydraulic control valve.

There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.
