NISSAN ERROR CODE F16

forklift has an error code F16 , anyone knows how to fix this, in the manual says its a "shift lever error"
has anyone repaired something similar?

More than likely is a bad switch in the shift handle....dont think they sell the switch separately although it is a common switch....they only sell the complete assembly....the switch are either stuck or open
