only the reverse contactor does not engage.
Also inspect the contactors associated with regen or Field weakening(if available) If the plug pins check out OK. It may be that regen or field weakening contactor either tips or coil causing some kind of related problem.
for future info
that code 71 is for the REGEN current sensor by the 7rec not the main current sensor
the 7 rec has its own heat sink separate from the main scr panel
also mounted on this heatsink is the regen current sensor and the regen contactor is right next to it
thats how you know if an EV100 is equipped with regen
if you get a 71 without this extra rec that means the card is set for regen when the truck doesnt have regen
code 23 - fwd or rev coil current low when it should be high
is it showing code 23 in one or both directions?
unplug the B plug and plug it back in
does it work then?
also check the ohmic value from PB4 to the positive side of the FWD coil should be 10-14 ohms
check for the same thing from PB5 to the REV coil
also do the same check for 1A RB SP or FW coils from the B plug
PB6- 1A
PB2- RB
PB3- SP
PB1- FW
try unplugging the plugs on the card clean them with nonconductive electronics cleaner then you should lubricate the pins (in the plug side only) with a special lube
GE has a kit for this
328AXXXXG001 (this should cross in most x-ref's it does in mitsu)
this contains
Cleaner - Chemtronics Pow-R-WasH CZ Contact
Cleaner
Lubricant - Nye Lubricants NYOGEL 760G
id get the nyogel its not that expensive
but the cleaner in the kit is like 50 bucks for a 12oz can
i use stuff from grainger that works pretty good (thats safe on plastic)
any plugs you come across that are dry (all ev100 plugs, sx controls 23 and 12 pin etc) you should clean and lube
it can head off some annoying issues
i charge a small fee to service the plugs especially when they are the cause of a breakdown (which happens often enough)
well I change the setting truck worked good for 3 days now it showing code -23 I already check contactor coils and directional switches still same problem. I feel I have a wiring harness problem has anyone came across this code and had a wiring harness problem?
If your truck doesn't have regen, then you need to change the card type setting.
I think I will try that first. Thanks
Sometimes the pins on the logic connector get pushed back so when you plug the card in the pin might be loose and not making a good connection. Have a visual inspection of the pins in the connector which fits onto the card and see if any of them look pushed further back etc. Also setting parameters to a 48v truck might not be the same as a 48v truck with different settings for example regen and things of that nature. Best thing is take the original settings off the old card and programme new one the same.. worth a try
Yes, I have the parameters for a tk card thats why I'm confused. I set the parameters for a 48v truck then got this new code of 71. which tells me the green wire to the shunt has no signal. checked continuity check out ok. I assume I have a problem with the drive motor. Not sure though.
have you set the card parameters?
