Yale GLP060VXEGSE087:
How to drag a not running Yale?

My company is giving me broken down forklift. It's hasn't been running for years. I want to winch it on to my heavy equipment trailer, but don't want to damage it further.

Is there a specific method for putting it in neutral?

This is a GLP050RDJUAE080 per the name plate...

Thanks!

yep.... nothing wrong with pulling or pushing it
since it's been sitting for such a long time i would make sure the parking brake is releasing completely, the shoes in the drums may be stuck if it has been applied though.
Just make sure the drive wheels turn when you start to tow it.
If they do not you will need to free them up or you'll be dragging it which wouldn't be the best thing to do.

It won't damage anything if you pull it or push it on to a trailer. Maybe take a com-a-long and lift the forks some if need be.
