Those slaves under the flood plate are pretty dry on the outside. Nothing in the boot.

I took the dash off and found one of the larger hydraulic hoses' outer jacket is cracking and I can see the lighter color inner jacket and it's a bit moist there. I believe that may be the leak. I'll have to watch it.

The fluid on the floor is the color of the hydraulic fluid (clear/yellow), not the DOT5 (purple) in the reservoir but I have a sneaky suspicion someone put AW46 fluid in the brake system. None the less, I flushed & bled the brake system with DOT5 twice now and will do it again at the end of the week. I will see if any purple leaks show up.

I took the inside right side panel off and and found the controller and a loose wire but I am unsure where it goes. I'll post that in a new thread later on.

that does sound like the brake fluid reservoir to me.
Pull the floor plate out and take a look at the slave cylinders, pull the rubber boot back and see if there is any fluid inside them or if any runs out. If they have been leaking you will probably see evidence of that around them.
Also if there is a slave cylinder on the brake if it has mechanical brake assembly check that one also, pull the rubber boot back and see if there is any evidence of fluid.

Any cylinder that appears to be leaking replace it.
when you refill and bleed the system
use DOT 5 fluid only

I'm not too sure.

There is a small aluminum(?) header tank sitting up near the top of all of the mechanical stuff with a red threaded square on the lid.

That tank is right empty and we are not able to engage the drive on the machine.

I assume since there is no fluid in there at all, that is where the leak is from.

Can I put the same hydraulic oil in there as in the main tank or is this strictly DOT5 brake fluid?

so i guess we need clarification
is this a brake fluid leak in the line from the resivoir to the slave cylinders under the floor plate? Or is this a hydraulic leak from the main supply line from the control valve to the main cylinder up front that runs down under the machine?

in your answere you made it sound like you have a brake fluid leak to the master cylinders. brake fluid would be DOT#5

i think you will find if you remove the battery you will have better access.
Reach trucks are not easy to work on sometimes in cases like this but you shouldn't have to lift the truck off the ground to remove that line.

It turns out we have a pinhole leak in the main line somewhere between the header tank and the two slaves under the feet (likely where the hose disappears under the machine. I need a forklift to lift this forklift :)

There is a breather cap on the tank.
this is where you put oil in and also where you check the level, there will be a basket type screen inside there, the level should be right up to the bottom of the screen.
as for the type of oil ?
AW32 should be ok unless it is cold storage type system... then it would be AW46 or 68 depending on the temp it is working in.
