Clark C-30:
Mast tilts and raises fine, will not lower

My 64 C-30 mast will tilt and raise properly, problem is that when raised it will not respond when I try to lower. If I hold the lever in lower, it chokes down the engine but nothing moves. If left sitting for a few days, it will lead down.

There is a clamp on the steering column that holds part of the linkage. If that slips down then it will cause that sloppy lever problem.

Today, I pressure washed front of C-30 and found that linkage for the UP-DOWN-TILT is really sloppy. I was able to go to end of linkage and got it to go down, albeit slowly. Any ideas of how to add bushings to tighten linkage and or to improve DOWN speed?
