Cat Lift Trucks (& Caterpillar) T40D:
new battery keeps running down

Can anyone help: I have installed a new Battery and checked all the regular things that usally would drain the battery. Have also installed new ring gear and starter have also checked for open circuit and have found nothing yet.
Have installed a new alternator and went thru all wirring.

Remove 1 cable use multi meter in line with batt and removed cable should read 0 if not keep undoing wire 1 at a time till you find scorce of drain.Replace wires you have removed as you check them so you dont cofuse where they go
