Toyota 8FGCU25:
error code EH4-4

The truck has 4 way hyd's. with the mini-levers. The **** broke for the 4th control, ordered new mini-lever and installed. All 4 hyd. functions worked for about 15 min., then the new 4th control stopped working and this code flashed. Plugged in the old lever, which did work even though the **** was broke, and all hyd. controls stopped working. Plugged in the new one again and all hyd. control stopped working. Leave the 4th control disconnected and the other 3 work. Does the truck need to be set up to recognize a new switch? Seem like a defective switch? Any info. would help.

You may have to match the lever value in the computer in order for it to work. The computer sees a different value than it had before and shuts down. Once you changed it the old does not work because of the fault. You may get luck and disconnect the negative cable and unplug the connectors on the levers and plug them all back in and reconnect the cable. It may reset the neutral in the system.
